Composer, arranger, pianist, and educator, Daniel Maudonnet has a solid academic background and a respectable musical carreer. A graduate of both Carlos Gomes Music College in Brazil, and the prestigious Berklee College of Music in USA, he is presently a Master Degree student at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. He has studied with Hilton Valente, JoAnne Brackeen, Hal Crook and Charlie Banacos.

He has written for the Tatuí Symphonic Concert Band, São José dos Campos Symphonic Orchestra, Tom Jobim Orchestra, Women Philharmonic Orchestra, Kantonsschule Wettingen Big Band, Soundscape Bigh Band and Villa-Lobos Quintet. He has participated in cultural projects such as Avon Women in Concert and Pró Bandas, sponsored by the state of São Paulo. He has also worked with established singers such as Moraes Moreira and upcoming stars Giana Viscardi and Paula Mirhan.

Mr. Maudonnet leads his group, Daniel Maudonnet Nonet, which performs original Brazilian music recorded on his debut CD called Pescador (2013).

With an intense academic load, he teaches Harmony, Arrangement, Composition and Piano as a faculty member of Souza Lima College of Music and offers lectures and workshops in Brazil and abroad.

Mr. Maudonnet’s concert band pieces Arraial da Ventania and Favorito are available through Ludwig Master Publications.

He is the creator and keynote speaker of Jazz Concept, a unique lecture that makes an analogy between jazz structural organization and the corporate environment through a live jazz performance. His clients are Itaú Bank, Bank of Brasil, BASF, Astrazeneca, Camargo Corrêa Desenvolvimento Imobiliário, Bluestar Silicon, SKY, COSAN among others.
